Blazing Blocks Blanket ENG

This 100% cotton blanket is the perfect blanket for the warmer months. You crochet separate elements that you later sew together, so you won’t have a warm blanket on your lap while working on it. Plus, it’s easy to take with you to the beach, pool, or just out to the garden or balcony.

The blanket is crocheted using the mosaic technique, but worked "in the round" so you don’t end up with lots of loose ends to weave in. The borders of the small squares and the large edging around the entire blanket are crocheted using the moss stitch.

The fiery look of this blanket is achieved by using the yarn Scheepjes Catona Chroma in the color Sunrise. When combined with black, the flames appear even more vibrant and dynamic.

For this blanket, you'll need 7 balls of Chroma and 14 balls of black, as well as a 3.0mm crochet hook.

The pattern is written out and includes charts for both types of squares. The pattern creates a square blanket of just over 1.00 by 1.00 meters, but since you crochet separate elements, it’s easy to adjust in size.
